Matt Winkelpleck lives in Ruston with his wife and two daughters. Originally from Monticello, Arkansas, he moved to Ruston to attend Louisiana Tech University, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Management in 2006. He also graduated from the Graduate School of Banking at LSU in 2018.
After graduating from Louisiana Tech, Matt began his career with Century Next Bank, formerly known as Bank of Ruston. Throughout his 20-year career with the same institution, he has served in a variety of roles, including teller and loan assistant, and currently serves as Senior Vice President of Mortgage Lending.
With two decades of banking experience, Matt has developed a comprehensive understanding of the financial industry and the
importance of community banking. In his role, he helps individuals and families navigate one of the most significant financial decisions of their lives—purchasing a home. He is especially passionate about assisting first-time homebuyers, many of whom are unfamiliar with the homebuying process and the variety of loan programs available to make homeownership more attainable. Even when customers are not yet ready to qualify for a mortgage, Matt enjoys coaching and guiding them through the steps needed to achieve their future homeownership goals.
Outside of work, Matt and his family are active members of Temple Baptist Church. He is an avid sports fan who follows both the Louisiana Tech Bulldogs and the Arkansas Razorbacks. Known as the resident “grill master” at CNext, Matt can often be found flipping burgers during tailgate season. He also enjoys hunting and spending time outdoors.
